For Parents

This game was created for game enthusiasts of all ages, including younger generations. In today’s age where technology’s reach is rapidly expanding, we’re well aware of the young minds that might get in touch with it and how it might form them. Since we’re intent on creating a healthy environment for our consumers, extra thought was put into how we might accommodate and assist our youngest explorers. Lux et Umbra was designed to not only keep the potential for addiction at a minimum but also to spark creativity and encourage out-of-the-box thinking in developing brains. The lack of comparison to other players in the game helps to focus on oneself, and the puzzles inside the game were composed in different difficulty levels that are adjustable in the game settings, to increase accessibility.

About the Project | Making Of

Lux et Umbra was created as a part of the “Collaboration and Business” course in the bachelor program at SAE Zurich. Our team was founded September 2022, with the aim to produce a fully operational video game in six months. There were a variety of different product ideas, but after some contemplation the team agreed on the current game format of a single player jump’n’run.
